I'm a Jewelry Designer in NYC—These Are the Wardrobe Staples I've Worn for a Decade

We turn to a variety of sources for style guidance, and yes, this includes creatives and business leaders in the industry. Enter Jesse Marlo Lazowski—the founder and creative director of the coveted jewelry label Marlo Laz. Using inspiration from her travels all over the world along with her deep connection to her love of jewelry from childhood, Lazowski's line is filled with unique, vivid, and brilliant pieces that transform the everyday. Her day-to-day style is also noteworthy. She leans into elevated basics and statement separates for whatever she has on her agenda in New York City.
Below, Lazowski is sharing her tried-and-true wardrobe staples. These are the selects she's worn routinely for the last decade while building her business. Go on for shopping inspiration, including a range of beautiful pieces from Marlo Laz.
Cashmere Sweaters
"I am always cold and, thus, always have a cashmere sweater with me. There's nothing cozier or more fun than an Elder Statesman piece. I have too many to count."
Leather and Suede Pants
"I am a bell-bottom/flare-pant girl through and through. Catherine Bloom from Bloom's Room introduced me to these Coût de la Liberté pants forever ago, and I swear by them. My favorites are the black and olive in suede and the brown in leather."
Heart Jewelry
"Everyone needs a heart in their jewelry collection. The Southwestern Heart is the answer to that."
Comfortable Boots
"I could never pull off a daytime sneaker look. Sneakers always remain in the gym for me, so chic and comfortable boots are a must-have wardrobe item. The Row boots, particularly in brown suede, are the greatest."
Coin Necklace
"I designed this coin over 10 years ago, and I still wear it to this day. (I'm literally wearing it as I write this.) The raised-gold-and-diamond version is the chicest way to go. Good luck, happiness, and positivity never go out of style, nor do diamonds and gold."
Logo-Free Bags
"I have always avoided logos on bags as much as possible, and Savette bags have been my go-to for years now."
Statement Ring
"This ring is with me through everything—from the beach to black-tie events, from NYC to the mountains of Colorado. It never leaves my hands."
