I recently heard Marie Claire editor in chief Nikki Ogunnaike describe the urge to shop as having a case of "the shoppies." Once a month, I get this insatiable desire to purchase an entirely new wardrobe. It's completely irrational (and borderline financially irresponsible), but now I know it has a name.
