Linens! Poplins! Stripes! This Celeb-Backed Brand Is What I'm Wearing in NYC This Summer
On the corner of 65th and Madison, behind a green front door, you'll find a portal to the Irish countryside. There on the Upper East Side stands a traditional Irish country house outfitted with a mudroom, kitchen, comfy couches, and a secret candy room—something I think should be mandatory in all homes. I'm of course talking about the Frank & Eileen flagship store. It's known for its elegantly tailored button-downs and use of the finest Italian fabrics. It's also a celeb-favorite store whose ethos is rooted in tradition and transparency.
Its recent collaboration with Saturday Night Live's Chloe Fineman and her mother, artist Ellen Gunn, speaks truth to the brand's beginnings, which was named after founder Audrey McLoghlin's Irish grandparents. The capsule collection features a limited-edition stripe pattern on its two most recognizable button-downs: the Eileen and the Shirley.

The brand, which is also loved by Meghan Markle and Julianne Moore (in fact, last year the House of Frank & Eileen collaborated with the actress for a campaign), is a chic person's go-to for its anti-trend basics. In my recent store visit, I tried on the relaxed Perry tee and the gingham Wexford trousers, and it's safe to say I've found my NYC summer uniform.
