A French Woman Shops on Amazon—20 Under-$165 Items She'd Buy

As Who What Wear editors, we shop a lot. And that means we're always looking for new ways to think about the trends, products, and retailers we cover. With Amazon Prime Day running from June 23 through June 26 and early deals already live, I decided to approach the sale through a different lens: If a French woman shopped on Amazon, what would she buy?

For fashion, my mind immediately went to wardrobe staples and timeless basics. A black Vince slip dress, Naturalizer Mary Janes, a Hanro V-neck camisole (famously worn by Nicole Kidman in Eyes Wide Shut), and a pair of Lily-Rose Depp–approved Worishofer wedges are all currently marked down.

As for beauty, I started with the obvious: French pharmacy favorites from brands such as Bioderma and La Roche-Posay. Then I found cult favorites like Paula's Choice's exfoliating toner and Bumble and Bumble's sea salt spray alongside items ranging from cleansers and sunscreen to Essie nail polish.
