The Best Dressed at the Oscars, as Voted by Our Editors

You can imagine what Oscars' day is like in the Who What Wear Australia office. We have a big screen rolling, along with images pouring in direct from the red carpet. To say it’s exciting, is an understatement. Our favourite part of the day? Deciding on our pick for best dressed. Each editor has different tastes, so you can imagine how much fun it is rallying behind our chosen looks.

Margot Robbie. I think she looks modern, sexy and confident. Three things I look for in red carpet fashion. The Row bag is a seemingly small detail that makes a huge impact.

Olivia Wilde

I am obsessed with Olivia Wilde in general, but I’m into her Oscars look in a big way. The dress, the hair, the makeup, that choker—what I wouldn’t give for five minutes in her wardrobe.

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett always does something different. I know that I can count on her to really give me that ‘WOW’ moment I wait for during award season. The minty hue and 3D flowers on this Armani Prive dress make my heart race.

Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams is my top pick. I’m not a big fan of sequins or over-the-top dresses. This simple emerald green gown is minimal and elegant.

Charlize Theron

Red dress on a red carpet = red hot! Mad Max star Charlize slays in this stunning Christian Dior gown (but would you expect anything less, when you’re wearing custom Dior?).

Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn is elegant, classic, and show-stopping. Orange is such a bold choice, but I can’t go past the sleeve detail on this Stella McCartney dress. I’m going to start searching for a top with the same sleeve, so I can wear it in my non-awards-ceremony life.
