I Just Bought All My 2024 Capsule Wardrobe Staples in COS's Amazing New Sale
I don’t know about you, but when one year draws to a close and another begins, I always get the urge to have a wardrobe sort out. New year, more organised me. It just seems like the perfect time to take stock of pieces I haven’t worn throughout the year to donate, and identify any gaps that could really do with filling. It also means that once you have an idea of the pieces you’d like to invest in going into the year ahead— a crisp white shirt maybe, or a perfect blazer—you can then find them in the Christmas sales for less.
This is exactly what I just did, specifically with the COS winter sale—and let me tell you, I found so many amazing staples that will bolster my capsule wardrobe in 2024. We all know how great COS is for those reliable yet elevated high-street heroes that you actually wear on repeat—from basic T-shirts and easy dresses to excellent quality knits and coats. Classics are what the brand does best, but sometimes the prices can creep up for their best pieces. Both of these things make it the perfect destination for shopping when it goes into sale, and right now COS currently has up to 60% off.

Personal highlights (and the items that found their way into my recent order) include the long black puffer coat (I've been desperately in need of a genuinely warm coat for a while), these chic dark indigo jeans to wear with a blazer and heeled boots for work, and this cosy striped jumper which I know I’ll wear so much, probably thrown over leggings or jeans. I can also personally recommend the brand's wide leg trousers and this designer-looking, uber-soft wool jacket—both styles I bought earlier in this year and have been wearing on repeat ever since.
Whether you’ve found time for a wardrobe sort out yet or not, it’s unlikely you’ll regret any of these wardrobe staples in the COS winter sale below. Keep scrolling to see my edit of the best pieces…

The perfect wide-leg trouser shape, and I love them in this on-trend chocolate brown—a chic alternative to black, grey or navy.
This looks just like a blazer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley recently wore.
I finally took the plunge and bought this puffer that I've been eyeing for a while.
Everyone needs a perfect white shirt in their capsule wardrobe. I've tried many, but I always buy mine from COS.
Whether for work or for dressing up, you can't beat a pair of tailored black trousers.
I personally think of animal print as a neutral, and zebra is the fashion crowd's print of choice.
