Copenhagen Is Setting the Tone for the Fashion Set With These 6 Cool 2022 Trends
If you can believe it, another fashion month is upon us. But before we head over to New York, London, Milan, and Paris, we have to cover everything that went down at Copenhagen Fashion Week S/S 22, which just wrapped up another stellar season.
Below, I've broken down my six favorite trends that were featured both on the runway and on the street style scene. For instance, there was one color that seemed to dominate this season: orange. On the runway, Scandi heavy hitters like Ganni and Baum und Pferdgarten showed pretty dresses in the eye-catching hue, while Emili Sindlev and other street style pros showed us exactly how to style the color. Scroll down to see and shop my favorite Copenhagen Fashion Week S/S 22 trends.
1. Matching Pants Set With Contrasting Bra Top
The trend reigned supreme in the Copenhagen S/S 22 street style scene.
This highly specific trend calls for a matching jacket and pants styled with a bra top in a different color.
Another fantastic street style example of the trend.
On the runway, Rotate styled this colorful matching set—featuring on-trend pelvic cutouts—with a white bra top.
Gestuz contrasted a green crisscross bra top with a tan trench coat and trousers.
At Remain, a leather shacket and coordinating pants looked great styled with a neutral bra top.
Saks Potts designed this comfy knit pant set and paired it with a sweet, bow-bedecked bra top.

2. Traffic-Cone Orange
On the street style scene during the Copenhagen S/S 22 shows, Emili Sindlev showed everyone how to style the trend for everyday life.
A dress with sporty sneakers is so Scandi.
On the runway, Ganni's halter dress makes a striking statement in bright orange.
Remain wants you to ditch your tan trench coat and try out an orange version instead.
Mark Kenly Domino Tan always masters the art of layering, and this S/S 22 look is no exception.
Orange you glad to see this stellar look at the Gestuz show?
I have a feeling this Baum und Pferdgarten dress will sell out come 2022.
Prepare to see this Saks Potts set all over Instagram next year.
This maxi dress at By Malene Birger looks ridiculously comfortable.

3. Low-Rise Track Pants
Everything Ganni touches turns to gold, so this trend is bound to be big next year.
Soulland styled low-slung track pants with a strategically unbuttoned shirt.
Rotate proved just how cool the trend can look by pairing low-rise drawstring pants with a metallic tank.
At Designers Remix, the trend was combined with the number one color of the season: orange.

4. Pastels
This pastel set spotted outside the Copenhagen shows is absolutely adorable.
This hits on not only the pastel trend but also the trend of pantsuits worn with contrasting bra tops.
Another fantastic pastel street style look to bookmark for inspo.
I love this sweet pastel skirt and bag that Ellie Delphine wore to Copenhagen Fashion Week this season.
When it came to pastel on the Copenhagen runways, I was particularly obsessed with this pastel power suit by Brøgger.
Helmstedt is known for its dreamy, fantastical prints.
Naturally, Ganni is on top of this trend as well.

5. I-Mean-Business Suits
The Copenhagen street style scene was rife with businesslike suits like this amazing gray one.
Yet another great sleek and simple pantsuit was spotted outside the shows.
The pantsuits of S/S 22 are straightforward, neutral, and all business—just like this Gestuz version.
Holzweiler's pared-back pantsuit perfectly demonstrated this fuss-free trend.
Ganni's version of the trend is slightly oversize but still neutral and toned-down.

6. Sporty Shorts
I love this preppy look at Designers Remix, complete with a polo shirt and Superga sneakers.
Remain's drawstring shorts looked so cool paired with yellow accents.
At the Holzweiler show, sporty shorts were styled with knee-high socks and a floppy hat.
These metallic drawstring shorts by Baum und Pferdgarten are bound to be top sellers next year.

In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
