From Taylor to Kendall, Celebs Keep Wearing This Chic Dress-and-Shoe Pairing

A little black dress is a time-honoured classic in any wardrobe, so it's really no surprise that so many celebrities, from Taylor Swift to Kendall Jenner have been turning to the chic staple recently. Black dresses are not only the epitome of the ever-present quiet luxury trend we're all obsessing over right now, but they are also perfect for this transitional time between spring and summer, when the weather is warming up but a pretty floral number might feel like getting ahead of yourself.

The thing about black dresses is that they can sometimes feel a little bit dressy, which is why I love that celebrities have been forgoing heels and pairing their LBDs with comfortable flat shoes of all kinds recently—from classic leather sandals, pretty ballet flats and cute loafers in the South of France to chunkier double strap sandals in New York. As a comfort-first dresser, I'm always obsessed when I see one of my favourite celebrities wearing a low-key look (so I can immediately try and copy it—no shame) and this recent trend for black dress and flat shoe pairings has been providing endless outfit inspiration for when I want to feel polished but still comfy and casual.
