Along with Chanel lipsticks, the Chanel nail polishes were my first taste of luxury makeup. For a few years in a row, I would very obviously hint at a Chanel makeup gift for Christmas each time I’d walk past the counter with my mum and older sister and then feel buzzed when I spotted a Chanel paper bag under the tree.
There is something extra special about Chanel nail colours too. All the classics are there like a perfect nude or iconic red, but you’ll find shades in the range that’ll surprise you like Arancio Vibrante a bright, zingy orangey red and Sea Sea Green which evokes a feel of spring joy. Like a lot of people, I almost strictly do gel polish on my fingernails now just because of how hardy it is, but I still opt for regular polish on my toes and Chanel offers the most luxe choice. Yes, the packaging is ridiculously chic but the colours are vast and often unique plus the formula itself is top tier. 1. Pirate
A classic if there ever was one. This red hue is a real suits-all shade that works through seasons.
2. Rouge Noir
This has to be my favourite type of red hue. The deep burgundy is perfect for your first autumn mani/pedi.
3. Ballerina
Could this be the perfect sheer nude? Whether you want to keep things simple or you’re looking for a base for your nude nail art, this is an elegant choice.
4. Rouge Essentiel
A poppy red like Rouge Essentiel is the way to wear red in the summer. It looks incredible against tanned skin and keeps summer alive a little longer.
5. Organdi
This opaque nude has a greyish base, so if winter nudes were a thing, this would sit firmly in that category.
6. Particulière
I’m particularly drawn to Particulière thanks to the brown edge this nude hue has. It’s a perfect pick for deeper skin tones like mine.

Is it off-mauve? Is it off-nude? Whatever you’d call this shade, it’s the kind of gloomy chic that we are here for.
8. Verde Pastello
Hello, holiday mode. This shade is screaming to be paired with an Aperol asap.
9. Prune Dramatique
A glossy, stylish purple that’ll pair perfectly with chunky knits this autumn/winter.
10. Daydream
If you live for shades like Essie Ballet Slippers or OPI’s Bubble Bath this a pink for you. It strikes the balance of girly and the "clean girl" aesthetic perfectly.
Special Mention: Le Top Coat
Although not a colour this is one of the brand’s best sellers in the nail department. It gives the nail a high-shine glass-like finish and allows your mani/pedi to last longer, chip-free.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick
Another glow-giver, this stick works as a highlighter and bronzer or blusher depending on the shade you pick. I love N20 as a highlighter because as someone with matte skin I have to take down the shine and then add it back in in the right places.
