Shopping in Sephora gives me heart palpitations, so when it's time for me to restock an item, it has to be worth it. I have the pleasure of testing the wide range of skincare and makeup on our free table at the office, but it's rare that I actually want to purchase them myself. Much like dating, there are so many options on the market, but I refuse to settle until I get the very best. Thankfully, I have tried a handful of items that are worth my hard-earned money. If you're curious to see what these are, I've divided up my favorites into splurge and save categories. I've learned the hard way that just because a product is expensive, it doesn't mean it's good, and just because it's cheap doesn't guarantee it's a worthwhile purchase. As you scroll through my personal list, don't be horrified by the $320 night cream, because there's a fabulous $18 option as well.

Omorovicza
Gold Rescue Cream
If you regularly purchase the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream, this product is right up your alley. I like my night creams to be extremely emollient and rich with oils. This feels like the deepest drink of water for my skin, and the proof is the glow I wake up with. It is the ultimate investment, but one that has shown exponentially better results than other expensive creams I've tried.
Furtuna Skin
Biphase Moisturising Oil
If you are sensitive to vitamin C products like I am, this face oil is worth your attention. It's rich without feeling greasy, and the stabilized vitamin C helps even out hyperpigmentation without irritating my skin.
Dior
Forever Skin Perfect 24H Multi-Use Foundation Stick
I was never a stick foundation girl; I found them to be too thick and full-coverage for daily wear. This, however, has a feel and finish that is similar to the Armani Luminous Silk (my holy grail liquid foundation). It's lightweight, blendable, and looks beautiful on the skin.
Allies of Skin
Azelaic and Kojic Advanced Clarifying Serum
I keep my skincare routine fairly minimal, so if I'm going to include a serum, I want it to make an impact. This Allies of Skin Clarifying serum definitely does. Not only does it keep any breakouts at bay, but my skin looks brighter overall.
Byredo
Young Rose Eau De Parfum
This is the type of fragrance I would buy for myself on my birthday. Byredo's scents are one of a kind and smell so luxurious on the skin. Young Rose is my favorite for its floral, peppery, and musky notes.
Charlotte Tilbury
Hollywood Flawless Filter
This is my old reliable—the glow it provides is unmatched. Yes, I've tried the "dupes," and no, I don't think they are as good as the OG.
Patrick Ta
Major Dimension Eye Illusion Eyeshadow Duo
I trust makeup artist brands implicitly, and this new launch from Patrick Ta is exactly why. These eyeshadows are buttery and blend beautifully.
Victoria Beckham Beauty
Satin Kajal Liner
This is the eyeliner that ruined drugstore options for me. I am not highly skilled at doing my makeup, but this creamy liner makes it look like I am.
Hourglass
Ambient Lighting Edit Brush
My favorite makeup brushes are all from Hourglass. They don't shed, they blend makeup beautifully, and they look so pretty on my vanity. (If you love this design, check out this corresponding palette from their 2025 holiday collection).

Prequel
AM/PM Modern Moisturizer
I know I just suggested purchasing a $300 night cream, but I like to offset that cost with this $18 option. It's great for daytime and layers well under makeup and SPF.
Saltair
Oil-Infused Nourishing Body Wash in Golden Hour
Saltair products smell and feel so luxe. I also love the body butters.
Tower 28
Mini SOS Face Guard SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen
This is my go-to SPF for many reasons: Its price point, lightweight texture, and eczema-friendly ingredients.
California Naturals
Deep Repair Hair Mask
I used to purchase a $45 hair mask (I won't name names), but this $8 one works better. It hydrates my hair without making it feel greasy.
Gisou
Honey Infused Leave-In Conditioner
I have very fine hair, and most of the leave-in conditioners I've tried weigh it down. This one doesn't.
SHEGLAM
Love Stained Lip Tint Marker in Bright Side
A long-lasting lip tint for only $5.
SHEGLAM
Airy Tinted Volumizing Brow Mousse
The most affordable way to change up my look is by using a darker eyebrow gel. Don't knock it until you've tried it.
Naturium
Purple Ginseng Cleansing Balm
I've been using cleansing balms for close to a decade now, but this is my all-time favorite. It takes everything off, and doesn't irritate my eyes or leave a weird film on my skin. I hope they never discontinue this product.
Orly
Nail Retouch
Manicures were an expense I had to cut out once I saw my local salon charging $70 for a regular one. This polish is like Facetune for my bare nails.
SHEGLAM
Made for Me Eyelash Curler
A great way to save in the beauty department is by picking up more affordable tools like this one.
Cyklar
Perfume Oil
If you like expensive-smelling perfumes but only have $25 to spend, this is the one to buy.
SHEGLAM
Lumi-Eye Aegyo-Sal Pen Duo in Macaron
Skip the $8 coffee—this $4 product will instantly make you look more awake.
SHEGLAM
Lashlighter Infinite Tubing Mascara
I stand firm in my belief that good mascara doesn't need to cost more than $6.
SHEGLAM
6-Sponge Party Pack
These blend like a dream.
SHEGLAM
Fall in Line Peel Off Lip Liner Stain in Pinky Promise
Viral trends like peel-off lip-liner stains aren't always a hit, but this one is.
SHEGLAM
Live to Roam Palette
If you love a basic eyeshadow routine, this palette is perfect for everyday wear.
