These £35 Influencer-Approved Shorts Are a Summer Staple

Last year, Lucy Williams posted a photo of herself on Instagram wearing Arket's of-the-moment elastic-waist shorts. After seeing the image, I immediately clicked over to the brand's website, desperate to get a pair of my own, knowing full well they'd become a hero summer item I'd wear all season long. To my disappointment, the staple had already sold out in several colours.

Thankfully, Arket knows a thing or two about keeping its customers happy, as this year, the label has restocked the popular item in black, light beige and striped blue. Aida of Basics Touch and Rachael of Bubbly Aquarius have already worn them, proving the shorts are indeed a hot commodity among influencers.

Though they are certainly an expensive-looking staple, the shorts retail for a very affordable £35, and given their versatility, I have already thought of about 35 ways I'd like to wear them—for starters, with a matching linen shirt, a racer tank and my Superga sneakers like Lucy Williams's outfit. So whether you're at home, at your local park or even venturing to the beach this summer, a pair of elastic-waist linen shorts is the wear-anywhere staple that will see you through almost all occasions.
