If You Care About Cost Per Wear, These 23 Elevated Basics From Shopbop Are Worth Buying
At Who What Wear, we talk about elevated basics a lot, and it's because they're foundational wardrobe staples that have the best cost per wear. Even celebrities such as Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner have become known for making them the focus of their personal style.
While browsing various retailers to see what's new for fall 2026, I noticed that Shopbop launched a dedicated section for elevated basics, so I looked through all 1344 items to narrow down the best options.
For tops, anti-trend long-sleeve white T-shirts have been popular lately, such as PerfectWhiteTee's Harley Long Sleeve Boxy Crew Tee, and you can't go wrong with crewneck sweaters, turtlenecks, and cardigans for fall. As soon as summer is over, everyone is shopping for jeans again, with Citizens of Humanity and Agolde being editor favorites. Leset's cotton poplin pants have also been best sellers, such as the Jamie Carpenter Pants.
Two other items that have been on my wish list include Alex Mill's Perfect Weekday Tote and G.H.Bass's new Whitney Weejuns Loafers (I wore my old pair until their last day), which are both under $200. Shop all of these items and more below.
