This Actress Is About to Have a Cult Fashion Following—Here's What's in Her Cart

You may have never heard her name before, but trust us when we say that Ella Balinska is going to be on everyone’s lips come fall. The 22-year-old British actress is set to steal the screen in the new Charlie's Angels reboot starring alongside Kristen Stewart and Naomi Scott—who make up the empowering trio in the highly anticipated movie directed by Elizabeth Banks.

Here at Who What Wear, we’ve already been keeping a close eye on the rising star and her fashion prowess. She was spotted earlier in the year front and center alongside fashion week regulars at couture week in Paris, and we’ve been ogling over her street style looks that mix in strong, action-ready pieces that are cool and uncomplicated.

I was lucky enough to chat with the upcoming actress at the Coachella Teva gifting suite this month about her approach to fashion, her favorite brands, her penchant for boots, and why she loves dressing for fall and winter in spring and summer. Scroll below to read about all the items she's loving for the season ahead.

"My personal style is expressive of my background and the things I enjoy doing. I'm super sporty and fell in love with stage combat at drama school. I was trained in weapons and all different fighting styles. All of this feeds into my aesthetic, which is tactical, comfortable, and clean. I love clean lines—specific and precise silhouettes. I am a minimalist at heart. I adore a monochrome look (all black usually!) and like to blur the lines between masculine and feminine dressing. I'm 5'11" and have an athletic figure. Sometimes I'll go into a shop and think, This men's jacket is perfect on me!"

"I'll always wear boots underneath my dresses. For my look at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, I wore a Valentino gown with combat boots underneath—not that you could see them under it but pretty much."

"When it comes to shoes, I love a chunky, thick, or heavy sole. Shoes really affect the way you walk. They can make you feel really powerful and strong. You can't go wrong with carpe diem sandals or trainers. And I often wear men's shoes simply because they fit better."

"I'm addicted to autumn/winter dressing (I am from London, after all), so I love to try and influence that into my style. For spring and summer, I'll add a lightweight leather jacket to my look. I can take the heat!"

"Some of my favorite brands include Off-White, G-Star, Valentino, H&M, and Brandy Melville. You can find some good little numbers at Brandy Melville! The one-size-fits-all can be tricky, but the ones that do fit are really comfortable.

"For a recent Drake concert, I wore a Brandy Melville long-sleeve tee and a loose men's T-shirt over the top. I love this kind of layered style."

"I adore silver hardware. Chrome Hearts is my go-to for the coolest jewelry. I love their aesthetic."

"There are a couple of beauty products I can't live without and will be stocking up on for spring and summer: Urban Decay's eye shadow primer (I love a good primer to build my look on), Diorshow mascara, AJ Crimson sheer coverage foundation (the foundations by this brand are amazing). I love everything from Pat McGrath's collection right now and always black eyeliner to complete my look."

Up next, these three products are the reason that celebs always have expensive-looking skin.
