This Celebrity Wore a $99 H&M Dress to the Teen Choice Awards

Celebrities and designers have spoken: Velvet will be one of fall’s biggest trends. Gigi Hadid has already jumped on board via velvet ankle boots while Hailey Baldwin opted for a pretty tank dress in the fabric du jour—and that’s just scratching the surface. Brands like Isabel Marant and Jil Sander are churning out chic velvet pieces you can buy now to get ahead of the game. If you’re still not convinced, allow us to turn your attention to the trend’s latest convert, Victoria Justice.

Not only was the velvet dress Justice wore on stage at last night’s Teen Choice Awards flattering, sophisticated, and on-trend, but it also happens to be budget-friendly. Her frock is from beloved fast-fashion retailer H&M and is only $99. How can you beat that? Sadly, the number is from the H&M Studio’s F/W 16 collection and therefore not yet available to the masses, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
