Walking into Who What Wear's West Hollywood office each morning never fails to leave me filled to the brim with outfit inspiration. It's a common occurrence to hear my co-workers doling out outfit compliments to one another or inquiring about where someone's dress or top is from. Call me biased, but my fellow editors are some of the chicest around, so I was curious to see how they'd style the new pieces from our Who What Wear collection.
Actually, we're so well-versed on how to look chic on a budget that we even created our very own Who What Wear collection at Target, which, if you're not familiar, is always priced well below $100 and offered in a range of sizes from XS to 4X. Call us biased, but we're kind of in love with the new pieces that just launched from the collection for January, and we might even be giving our more expensive pieces a break for the time being.
With so many new winter-ready pieces to choose from this month, my fellow editors and I weren't shy about playing favorites. From the coziest sweaters to the coolest cargo pants, we tried on the best affordable items from the collection and gave them our stamps of approval. Ready to usher in some excellent new pieces to your wardrobe? Simply scroll down to see how our editors are wearing their picks from our new arrivals for January, or head to Target stores to check out the designs in person.
"Not to put it too plainly, but this top rules. It's bohemian but feels current and has plenty of special details like the ruffle on the sleeve and the intricate print. Extra points for the fact that I can wear it while it's still cold with a turtleneck and ditch the extra layer come springtime."
"There's nothing I love more than a chunky cardi. This one is one of my favorites of the season—the beige color works with everything in my closet, it's easy to wear to the work and on the weekend, and the statement braid belt gives it a designer vibe."
"So I'm obsessed with this blazer. I wasn't sure how I would like the knit fabric, but basically, it's like your comfiest sweater meets your favorite, polished blazer. It's great for layering, and can easily dress up or down an outfit. I layered it over a black, thin-strapped bodysuit, Reformation skirt, tights and cowboy boots (because I've been wearing them every day lol), and I received so many compliments at an event I went to right after snapping this pic. Everyone wanted to know where this blazer was from!"
"This is the softest, coziest sweater in my closet right now. I’m a creature of comfort (read: I’m a Cancer), but I’m prioritizing ‘elevated comfies’ this year so that I can still feel put-together when I need to throw on easy basics for weekend errands. This sweater totally fits the bill. Plus, it looks so chic draped over my shoulders for those times when it’s inexplicably frigid in the office."
"Blazers have become a staple in my wardrobe and recently I've been trying to reinvent the way I'm wearing them. My favorite blazer styling trick for 2020? Layering one with sweats or a hoodie, like this one from Who What Wear."
"I often wear the WWWC knits to complete my cozy yet polished looks. This hoodie is super soft, features on-trend details like balloon sleeve, and pairs well with just about anything. Here, I wore it with suspender trousers, a crossbody bag, and sneakers for a casual weekend fit."
"I love this super-cute hoodie. The camel color is really sophisticated and it's thin enough to easily layer under a coat. I styled it really casually with J Brand jeans and Dôen flats, but when I want to go all-out, I'll wear it with head-to-toe camel for a tonal look."
"The keyword when it comes to this dress is comfort. The knit is cozy yet lightweight and it isn't clingy in the slightest (I can't stand tight sweaterdresses). Plus, it plays on the neutral trend that's still going strong. I chose to dress it up with these embellished Wandler mules, but I fully plan on wearing it with knee boots and a camel coat soon."
