No matter the year or season, you can count on Valentino to present a collection with dreamy, romantic details. For spring 2018, the show was infused with a new spark, thanks to Pierpaolo Piccioli. Sure, the show featured the gowns we know and love, but a smattering of sportswear (shorts! anoraks!) made this season's show decidedly different.
The inspiration for the collection comes from Fellini, 16th-century poetry, and the moon. Unexpected combinations of color, hints of embellishment, and some seriously enviable footwear came down the runway. And if you needed proof that people who love dresses can wear sneakers too, it can be found in Piccioli's show.
