These Are *the* Pretty Summer Shoes Every Fashion Person Is Scrambling to Get Their Hands On
Actually groundbreaking.
When the French shoe brand Carel posted a photo of its Acai Sandals on Instagram, I was mesmerized. The green sandals have straps that look like the stems of a flower and a pink floral blossom at the tip. Before I could even snatch up a pair, they were sold out.
Thankfully, similar pairs have been popping up everywhere since Jonathan Anderson put lily heels on the Dior runway for the floral-themed fall/winter 2026 runway show set at the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris. But the trend doesn't feel that astonishing. Who doesn't want to look down at their toes and see a lily, a tulip, or a rose looking back at them?
It's also a reminder that even the cliché can feel new. Florals haven't been groundbreaking in a long time, but large floral embellishments on heels and flats feel different, and I guarantee all of the chicest women are currently packing a pair for vacation right now. They are the perfect way to add a fresh touch to an outfit. Who needs a cherry on top when you could have a blossom instead?
