30 Under-£100 Autumn Buys I Can't Stop Thinking About
Ask any of the Who What Wear editors, and they’ll tell you there's nothing we love more than finding joy-inducing yet affordable pieces that stand the test of time. We firmly believe that no matter the price point, everything in our wardrobe should be viewed as an investment and that, luckily, the high street is fully stocked with such gems. In fact, some of our most-loved and most-worn sartorial heroes are also some of the most affordable pieces in our wardrobes.
But where do you start when hunting down these budget-friendly and stylish hits? That's where I come in. Now that the autumn collections are starting to filter in, I deep-dived into the new-in pages of some of my favourite high-street brands to craft the ultimate list of expensive-looking new-season hits, all under £100. From beautiful knitwear to hero accessories and sleek tailoring to party-season pieces worth snapping up now, there's something for every style and every budget here.

A metallic midi skirt will work hard for you this season. Dress it down with chunky boots and an oversized knit or add heels and a blazer for the evening.
How chic does this white shirt look with leather trousers? Note the wide cuff detailing, too.
Denim dresses are a wardrobe staple come autumn. Add cowboy boots to this belted style to really nail the Western trend.
Knitted dresses are all over my Instagram feed right now. Wear with boots now and swap in sandals come spring.
This coat will be a favourite for years to come and will work just as well with denim at the weekend as it will with workwear on the commute.
How fun is this feather-trimmed mini dress? Invest in it now so you're party-season ready.
Everyone is talking about these mules in the Who What Wear office. I'll be wearing mine with jeans and a cardigan for a sleek take on knitwear and denim.
Wide-leg-trouser lovers, rejoice. This chic pair is super flattering and will go with everything from knitwear to shirts.
I love the rich green shade of this three-piece corduroy set.
Corset details are popping up everywhere this year, and this dress is a chic way to try the trend.
Arket has released a new shade of its best-selling alpaca sweater: buttercup yellow.
I'll be re-creating this entire look for my next night out.
A denim shirt promises to be a wardrobe staple year-round. Layer over T-shirts and under outerwear now and wear tucked into shorts come summer.
Jumpsuits really come into their own in autumn. One of the easiest pieces in anyone's wardrobe—simply throw on and go.
Influencers and editors agree platforms are the coolest heels this year.
Another winning striped sweater, this time with a black base and button details.
These cowboy boots have caught my eye this week. I'll wear them with jeans and midi dresses.
COS never fails to impress me with its tailoring offering. These wool trousers are an autumnal take on its famous linen styles.
Can you tell I'm drawn to sequins right now? Wear this showstopping top with blue denim or the matching trousers to really make a statement.
I love this contemporary take on a classic white shirt. Tuck it into wide-leg trousers or be inspired by Parisians and wear with denim and Mary Janes.

Wear this mohair sweater at the weekend with jeans and trainers or in the week with tailored trousers and heeled mules.

Poppy joined the Who What Wear UK team as managing editor in 2022. After graduating from university with a degree in English literature, she worked for a number of print and digital publications, including Women's Health, The Times, Hello! and Marie Claire. In these roles she assisted the fashion teams with print content as well as digital shopping features, shoots and celebrity news.
Prior to Who What Wear, Poppy worked at SheerLuxe as the commercial content manager. There she oversaw all paid-for site content and inclusions, managed the visual assets and briefs for branded content, and ensured all content—whether editorial or commercial—was in line with overall brand guidelines and tone. She also supported the editorial team by looking after visual merchandising on site and reviewing the brand’s daily newsletters.
As WWW UK’s managing editor, Poppy spends most of her time looking after the content calendar and all output across the brand, in addition to working with contributors, supporting with social media planning, assisting with branded content and contributing to brand strategy. Poppy prides herself on being organised, and a keen eye for detail means she oversees the production of tentpole moments such as Who What Wear’s quarterly celebrity covers, the Wedding Issue, team shoots, events, industry-facing moments, gift guides and more. In addition to this, Poppy ensures processes across the brand are efficient and effective, and is always on the lookout for ways the team can work smarter, not harder! As someone who works behind the scenes (Poppy loves a spreadsheet!), you won’t find many articles by Poppy on site, but when you do there’s no doubt they will either be focused on dresses, handbags or classic high-street buys. Or better yet, all three!
Born and raised in London, Poppy is a true city girl. When she's not thinking about clothes (or raiding her mum’s wardrobe), Poppy fills her time walking along the river with her 11-year-old labradoodle, getting stuck in a good book and enjoying as many of the city’s amazing restaurants and bars as her purse will allow! Her favourite London spots are Caravel for dinner, the Ham Yard Hotel for a fancy pre-theatre drink, Daunt Books for a new read, 26Grains for breakfast and Coal Drop's Yard for a spot of shopping.
