Trust Me—Buy These 10 Dresses

Trust Me—Buy This is a bimonthly series where our market editor, Nicole Eshaghpour, makes her favorite real-life fashion finds shoppable for Who What Wear readers.

It's dress time! From daytime frocks to party-ready picks, today I'm putting a special spin on my Trust Me—Buy This series and making it all about dresses—because honestly, doesn't it feel like an endless search? It definitely does for me, but since I've spent my fair share of time researching, buying, and, of course, wearing them, I figured I'd put some of that effort to even better use and share my favorite finds with you. See and shop my picks from the last few months, as well as some similar styles, below.

I've worn this Rixo dress more times than I can count, and it's not even fall yet. It's perfect for wearing on its own, adding belts to, or layering with tees and sweaters.

This summer, I got so much use out of this printed shirtdress as a bathing suit cover. For fall, I plan to wear it with ankle boots, both closed as a dress and open like a jacket.

Petite girls: I'm 5'2", and this dress fit me perfectly without being shortened or tailored at all—and that does not happen often. I love everything about it, but most of all the jeweled buttons.

All of Dôen's pieces are amazing, but the brand especially excels in the prairie-inspired dress category, which happens to be one of fall's biggest trends. While I loved the above light blue style in the summer, for fall, I have to suggest the below, darker style.

Pardon the super-zoomed photo, but I had to show off the neckline and drawstring detail on this Pixie Market dress. I wore it a ton this summer with sandals and can't wait to wear it with Western ankle boots for fall.

I'm a sucker for covered buttons, which are just one of the many amazing details on this R13 dress. I love pairing it with this crystal belt and simple black heeled sandals for weddings.

I got so much use out of this now-sold-out Majorelle dress during my summer travels because it (and all the brand's pieces) can be so easily dressed up or down with a simple switch of your shoes. For the months ahead, I plan to pick up a new printed minidress from the brand that I'll hopefully get just as much use out of.

This dress by Haney is, undeniably, a "party dress" in the very best way. If you're looking to switching things up from your go-to LBD but still want something easy to wear and flattering, this is it.

I have a newfound love for slip dresses after getting this bias-cut style from Silk Laundry and, much like with the Rixo one a bit earlier in the story, realizing how versatile it is. Again, I've worn this so many ways and so many different times.

Last, but certainly not least, is one of my favorite easy, flattering, and standout wedding guest dresses by Alice McCall.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
