If you can’t stop thinking about the summer months ahead, you’re in good company. There’s so much to love about warm, beach-filled days and visiting destinations that require a new stamp in your passport. And here at Who What Wear, it goes without saying that the new outfits we’ll be wearing—and all of the trends that are about to break—are what we look forward to most.

There are already some big pieces bubbling up that we have our eyes on, so if you want to get an early start on summer’s biggest items (like we do), we’re sharing an inside look at what is on our radar. From the shoe trends that are about to explode to the new It top that’s replacing the off-the-shoulder styles from past seasons, these are the summer fashion trends to get a start on now.

Seashell jewelry is the biggest trend to hit our Instagram feeds lately, and we expect it to explode once summer hits.

A few years ago, off-the-shoulder tops were absolutely everywhere. Then, they were replaced by puff-sleeve tops. And now, there’s an even newer iteration with the puff-sleeve crop top. I’m placing bets that it will be the It top this summer.

This spring it has been all about pastels, but as we move closer to summer, expect to see bright bold colors and pops of neon.

We’ll blame our love for PVC shoes on designers like Chanel and Maryam Nassir Zadeh, who are making plastic boots and sandals feel so covetable.

Summer is all about fun, carefree pieces, and nothing embodies that more than delicate pieces with smocked details. Prepare to see these everywhere.

Strappy heels are sure to be the biggest shoe trend and are the perfect piece to pack in a suitcase wherever your travels may take you.

Céline Sandals ($690, available in-store)

Don’t be surprised if you see me getting a jump start on each of these trends before summer actually hits.
