This Is the Only Color That Truly Matters Right Now

Last week, images surfaced of North West wearing a matching turtleneck top–and-pants set that quickly went viral across Instagram. The outfit—a mini version of one of Saks Potts’ recent runway looks—couldn’t feel more of-the-moment, particularly because of the slime-green color, which has emerged as the shade people care about most in fashion right now.

For months, we’ve been seeing fashion girls across Instagram wearing pieces in the bold hue. Who What Wear’s assistant editor Anna LaPlaca has been particularly behind the trend, even tagging her Instagram posts with the #slimewatch2k18 to track all of her slime-green fashion content. The hashtag, started by Coveteur editor Hannah Baxter, has a healthy supply of her own slime-green outfit posts. Now, I only expect the trend to explode as we head into 2019. Ahead, see the inspiration for how to style the electric shades of slime green for yourself and then shop pieces to add to your closet.

North West was snapped wearing lime green with her very own set from Saks Potts. It isn't available yet, but you can get on the waiting list now.

Another piece from Saks Potts that has been absolutely everywhere this season: its fur-trimmed coat in electric shades of green.

I always look to María Bernad to see which colors she's wearing—her picks are always spot-on for the current or about-to-break trends.

Anna has been leaning hard into #slimewatch2k18.

And introducing Hannah Baxter, who coined the #slimewatch2k18 hashtag.

Now this is how to layer an outfit with the vibrant color.

Or, simply top off your outfit with a colorful bag.
