Katie Sturino’s mission is simply inspiring: She built a business with the goal to empower women of all shapes and sizes to find their confidence and celebrate their personal style. An entrepreneur, social media influencer, body-positivity advocate, and animal activist, Sturino possesses an ethos that positively impacts women’s lives. Through her Instagram and blog, The12ishStyle.com, she established a voice by creating the hashtags #SuperSizeTheLook and #MakeMySize, which eventually went viral, grabbing the attention of millions. Sturino then founded her own company, Megababe, a beauty line of thoughtfully conceived and expertly crafted nontoxic products that provide solutions for women to feel more comfortable in their own skin. Since the launch of Megababe in 2017, the company has already exceeded its five-year growth projection and is continuing to grow with new, innovative product launches that not only sell out but have been known to garner waiting lists of over 13,000 people.
Prior to becoming an influential voice within the industry, Sturino was rather busy working in fashion for top luxury brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Chanel and eventually founded her own PR agency, Tinder PR (before Tinder was even a thing). Discovered through her clever and quirky posts for one of the first Instagram animal sensations, @toastmeetsworld (now @dogmeetsworld), Sturino had an aha moment that made her realize she had to make a change.
