We covered the "Nordstrom6" last year, the group of stylists who post about trends, fashion, and Nordstrom shopping with the hashtag #Nordstrom6. Well, Rose Hayes is one of the VIP Nordstrom stylists that's included in the group. And given that she's a breadth of sartorial knowledge with her 14-year career at one of the biggest retailers out there, we thought we'd tap her to uncover some of the items she's loving and recommending to her clients right now. Oh, and don't forget to check out her site here.

Below, you'll uncover the staples Hayes thinks will be popular in 2022 because of their versatile nature and the fact that they could be styled with many different items. These pieces have also been fan favorites so far among her clients. Keep scrolling to learn more, including shopping inspiration.

1. Flare Jeans

"I've been telling my clients that if they only have skinny jeans in their closet, it is definitely time to enter a new era of denim. The easiest and most flattering pair of jeans to wear now is the high-rise flare leg. Seriously—everyone who tries them buys a pair or two."

2. Knee-High Boots

"I've been advising my clients to invest in good tall boots for a while now, and they're even in more demand for 2022. Tall boots have always been my go-to with dresses and skirts, but now, I'm loving my pants tucked into the boots for a chic alternative."

3. Shackets

"The extremely popular shacket is the perfect third piece to own. I show my clients how it can be worn as a jacket/coat (that you take off) or as your third piece/blazer that makes your outfit interesting and complete. The good ones sell out in-store by the end of the day or sooner."

4. Relaxed Sweaters

"January is the time to go through your sweaters and weed out any that look 'tired' or worn out. I always tell my clients to replace old sweaters with earth-toned cable-knits or relaxed cashmere. I think everyone needs a crew- or V-neck sweater in black or ivory. On those rushed mornings, these staple sweaters will come in handy with jeans or trousers. Just add a pretty scarf and coat and you're out the door."

5. Split-Hem Pants

"I recently showed knit split-hem pants to someone with a matching vest. They looked so fantastic on her that I had to give them a try myself. I styled mine with boots and received compliments all day."

6. "Going to Dinner" Blouses

"I often get requests for 'going out to dinner' blouses. I like to show my customers the latest blouses in pretty patterns and stripes. Even solid silk tops with added shoulder draping are perfect with your statement jewelry, jeans, and heels."

7. Statement Coats

"One of my favorite chic go-to looks for winter is a great double-faced wool coat paired with a hoodie, jeans, and boots."

8. Cargo Joggers

"I'm often asked for a chic but comfortable alternative to sweatpants and jeans. Silk joggers are comfortable, chic, and modern. I also highly recommend faux-leather joggers."
