There’s something about Valentine's Day that I have always loved. I love red roses, chocolate, love letters, and the color pink, so it’s always been a holiday that I look forward to. Another reason is that it's the perfect excuse to give my lingerie collection a little re-up. I am a sucker for a great lingerie set, and I have tried so many brands, from luxe splurges to more affordable options. Nordstrom is the first retailer that comes to mind when I want to look for both. You may not think of Nordstrom as your go-to destination for great lingerie, but trust me. The retailer has such a large selection of everything you can think of, including lingerie sets, silk slip dresses, chemises, bodysuits, cheeky undies, accessories… You name it. There are five brands, in particular, that stand out to me when I'm shopping for lingerie.

Keep scrolling to see which five lingerie brands you can find at Nordstrom that are so good you’ll be thanking me later.

1. Journelle

Journelle is one of those lingerie brands that people really love. I have heard so many women rave about how comfortable this brand is. The name comes from the French word "journellement,” which means "daily.” This brand is all about making lingerie that you can wear all the time, not just for a special occasion like Valentine's Day. But if you are looking for something special, don’t worry—Journelle has got it covered.

2. La Perla

When it comes to luxury lingerie, La Perla is one of the first brands I think of. This French brand is a cult favorite for lingerie lovers for a reason. It makes some of the prettiest lingerie on the market as well as really great everyday bras and underwear. If you’re looking for something luxe, go with La Perla.

3. Bluebella

Bluebella is one of my go-tos when I’m shopping for lingerie. This London-based brand makes everything under the sun when it comes to lingerie. If you’re looking for something colorful, this is the first brand I recommend since it has several collections dedicated to bright, colorful options. It’s also a great price point—what’s not to love?

4. Hanky Panky

I have heard so many people say, "Hanky Panky is the only underwear brand I wear.” I have tried it for myself, and I get the hype. Hanky Panky thongs are by far the most comfortable thongs ever, and the brand makes everyday underwear that is 10/10. I was surprised by how great its lingerie selection is. It has the most adorable pink panties with little red hearts on them. It’s the first pair I linked below.

5. Love, Vera

Love, Vera is a Black-owned lingerie brand designed to look good on every body type. Inclusivity is at the forefront of its mission when creating lingerie that is not only beautiful to look at but also makes you feel beautiful while wearing it. The brand has so many cutesy sets with tons of heart motifs—perfect for Valentine’s Day.
