Meghan Just Made Me Want to Buy This £30 Zara Skirt

When it comes to the royals, UK or international, they all have their own distinct style. For example, for formal events, Kate Middleton is a fan of Jenny Packham but favours culottes and sneakers for more laid-back affairs. The Queen is known for her love of matching her coats and dresses to her umbrellas, and never shies away from bold colour. Then there's Princess Sofia of Sweden who loves a printed dress. As for Meghan Markle, she sticks to twists on classic wardrobe staples. From camel hues to fit-and-flare dresses, as well as long navy coats, her look can only be described as elegant elevated basics.

Just today, while attending a roundtable discussion on gender equality with The Queens Commonwealth Trust, she wore a leather pencil skirt in burgundy by Hugo Boss. This was the same skirt that Queen Letizia of Spain had worn just 24 hours earlier while attending an event in Seoul. As the two royal women differ in their tastes, with Queen Letizia often going for more printed pieces, this leads us to one conclusion: This is the colour of the moment.

Both wore the skirt in their own way. Meghan opted to match her shoes and jumper with the skirt whereas Queen Letizia wore a white blouse and a matching burgundy bag. Of course, if your budget can't stretch to the Boss skirt, there's a £30 Zara version that's just as chic. Ready to see how the two royals styled their ensembles?
