Mary-Kate Olsen Wore the "Ugly" Sneaker Trend That's Sticking Around in 2020

Mary-Kate Olsen doesn't just give us things we want to buy through The Row—she wears them. And although she may not be photographed all that much, when she is, we're always on high alert to see what trend(s) she's endorsing. This time around, while out dining in NYC, Olsen wore perhaps the biggest sneaker trend of 2019 (and 2017 and 2018): dad sneakers.

Given their "ugly" shoe tendencies, dad sneakers weren't exactly the least polarizing trend of the year, but people certainly warmed up to it. Olsen's endorsement could be proof that it's not going anywhere soon. She chose a pair of dad sneakers by It brand Bottega Veneta, paired with black pants, a long coat, and a massive scarf and bag (in true Olsen fashion).
