With the rise of ‘90s fashion, we’re seeing the return of decades-past styles that feel more relevant than ever. Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Campbell, and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy have become the poster children for a refined take on cool minimalism from the time period. Accounts such as @cabmate have found a dedicated audience on Instagram for distilling the best in fashion from the decade. Throwback pieces from the ‘90s, too, have made a resurgence. Among them are pared-back slip dresses, slinky jersey pieces, pencil skirts, and medium-wash straight-leg jeans. Another standout: Leather trench coats.
