Even Celebrity Makeup Artists Lose It Over These 15 Laura Mercier Products
I won't lie to you. Using any Laura Mercier product makes me feel incredibly French. They just give you that effortless, lit-from-within glow, and I turn to them any time I'd like to catch that kind of vibe for the day. Whether you'd like lighter coverage or simply want to add a little pop of color to your cheeks in the morning, boy, has Laura Mercier got something for you.
Obviously, I'm not the only one who's taken by them. Makeup artists will never stop buying them, either. I have my own staples I'll never go without, but of course, I had to pick their brains about their favorites, too. Both Melissa Hurkman and Cara Lovello were happy to weigh in. Scroll through below for all the best Laura Mercier products, according to two celebrity makeup artists and one very obsessed beauty editor.
Melissa Hurkman, Celebrity Makeup Artist
"This is one of the only powder brushes I can say works for me with both powder and liquid. I love applying liquid foundation with this brush for an airbrushed effect."
"These are great on their own or as a base to a powdered eye shadow. You can also use these for eyeliners. The shades Cocoa and Tuxedo are my most used."
"I love this in the shade Strawberry. It's the perfect blush to add a little pop to your cheeks. It works great on light to medium skin tones."
"This powder is unique because not only do you achieve a smooth and set makeup look, but this has a soft glow to the powder. It leaves your skin glowy and set so your makeup won’t move all day and looks natural."
Cara Lovello, Celebrity Makeup Artist
"Laura Mercier's translucent powder is a staple in my kit! Not all setting powders make your makeup last all day. This one is superior."
"Secret Camouflage is my absolute favorite product for concealing blemishes and skin imperfections underneath makeup."
"The rose oil is a must-have in my personal skincare routine, especially in the colder months. I love following my moisturizer with it to keep my skin extra hydrated."
"The shades Rosewood and Baby Lips are two of my go-to lip liner shades. They're great nude liners for lighter skin tones."
"If you wear a tinted moisturizer over regular foundation, the Laura Mercier one needs to be the next product you try. So many of my clients use and love this as their everyday base."
"These are great primers, work well under all different foundations, and they even have different versions for different skin types. Try the Illuminating Primer for dry or mature skin! Plus, I feel like you get so much more product compared to primers from other brands!"
Other beauty-editor favorites:
This foundation always looks incredibly seamless. As my base, I use Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream ($64) and a primer, then watch the magic happen. I'd say it provides medium coverage but can definitely be built to more of a full coverage, too.
If you love classic deep-red lipstick, this silky formula just might be for you. It has a soft, satin finish that lasts pretty long in the hydration department, which is not always the case with formulas like this.
Some people exclusively fall into the "no eye shadow primer" camp. I am not one of those people. I use it religiously and have found this to be one of the best ones for everyday use.
I've always dealt with dark circles and a bit of puffiness under my eyes. It is what it is at this point. This brightening powder for the under-eye area pairs perfectly with any concealer to help reduce their appearance and never really dries out my skin.
I love this highlighter because it's so buildable. During the day, I can go for more of a subtle vibe and amp it up at night with just an extra swipe of my fingers. It also glides on like a dream and gives your skin that soft, sun-kissed glow that I personally never want to leave the house without.
