Originally posted on November 4: Congrats to the newlyweds! Kate Upton married Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander at a lavish ceremony in Italy. The happy couple has a lot to celebrate, as this news comes just a few days after his team won the 2017 World Series (where Upton wore a custom Canadian tuxedo). E! reports that the lavish ceremony took place at a medieval church at the Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco resort. The gorgeous venue overlooks the Montalcino valley.
Upton wore a Valentino gown and received an Anita Ko wedding band, Us Weekly reports. The model's wedding dress was white with lace sleeves and a lace overlay over a full skirt. Her bridesmaids wore two styles of gowns—one tiered chiffon and the other silk—in a blush hue. Upton had previously told Entertainment Tonight that she might have multiple dresses for the big day. "Maybe a nice long sleeve, and then also the big tulle one," she said. "I think that I always like to add a little flair of sexuality to any outfit I'm wearing."
