Fashion Girls Are Ditching This Holiday Party Outfit

Being best dressed doesn't always require a dress. Fashion girls are rewriting this and other rules of holiday dressing this season—ditching the classic party dress in favor of less anticipated ensembles. Daring silhouettes are setting the scene at soirées, doing away with the frilly frocks and stiff shifts that have typically come to populate parties. Though the party dress has long been the standard for festive occasions (and still holds its place as a time-tested staple), the new school of holiday stylings is making a splash.

This season, the fashion crowd is stepping out in evening outfits that are refreshingly unexpected and unconventional. Subverting the dress code, our favorite style stars are opting for dramatic wide-leg jumpsuits in winter white, crop tops covered up with capes, and even long regal skirts paired with graphic sweatshirts. Though we still expect to see plenty of dresses this holiday season, we're loving this bold departure as demonstrated by our favorite fashion girls.
