A Glamorous Guide to Dressing for the Holidays
Sponsor Content Created With Fendi
The holiday season is back in full swing, and it can be, well, madness. Between shopping for gifts, managing a schedule of nonstop events, and maybe even planning an end-of-year getaway, there's a lot to juggle this month. Not to mention, you'll want to be doing all of the above while dressing the part. But that's the fun of the holidays, isn't it?
Thanks to Fendi, you can check one thing off your to-do list. That is, of course, finding the chic holiday outfits to wear for upcoming occasions both big and small. Whether you're staying in or (finally!) going out for a festive celebration, this year is all about getting dressed up again. Our attire of choice is glamorous, but not in a ball-gown-and-dripping-in-diamonds type of way. We're leaning into a more modern take on glamour that's wearable for every gathering but still makes us feel all kinds of fancy. No audience is necessary, but if you do happen to have one, I hope you enjoy being the best-dressed person in the room.
If you're like me, then you're ready to unbox every last holiday decoration as soon as it's socially acceptable to do so. After all, it's a little hard to not be in a celebratory mood after sprucing up your space with seasonal sparkles and greenery. Naturally, a festive activity calls for a festive outfit to match. Something elevated yet cozy like this ultra-soft cropped cardigan and these matching trousers (how good is that logo print?) will do the trick. Just add cozy styling pieces like this shearling bucket hat and these shimmery socks. A leather clutch and heels in the same colorway don't hurt either, in case you do end up taking this look for a spin outside. (I wouldn't blame you!) The monochromatic palette here is subdued but seriously sophisticated.
Silk may be the unofficial fabric for party attire all year round, but when it comes to the holidays, it's all about velvet. It feels that extra bit more luxurious, especially because it's seasonal. And don't be afraid to reach for a matching blazer-and-shorts set instead of a dress for a night out—the elevated velvet fabric means the look will be just as fancy but a lot less predictable. Sheer logo tights and a statement bag (your choice, but I love this pop of purple from the Fendi baguette) complete the look perfectly.
Gift-giving is one of the most special rituals of the season, and I personally look forward to holiday gift exchanges all year long. My dream outfit is something comfortable yet polished, like this marbled wool set. I bet you've never seen loungewear this chic before. I like the idea of keeping things casual by pairing knits with sporty sneakers and—if you're really feeling like having some fun—a bag that matches the outfit. Now that's a look worthy of the holidays.
