"I've been wearing Converse for years now, and the high-top sneakers will always have a place in my closet. Their classic silhouette is the base of so many great outfits, whether it be a simple jeans-and-tee look or something fancier like a slip dress. If you don't yet own a pair, I suggest starting out with plain white or black, but if you're looking to build out your collection, its printed and platform pairs are so much fun."

"I've always been a big Nike person, and I'm glad to see that it's gone from practical sneakers to fashion shoes in recent years. I love its more athletic styles as well as its trendier options, and they're always the most comfortable in my book."

"My favorite brand for non-athletic sneakers has long been Veja. They look especially good with casual dresses, and after a short breaking-in period, they're really comfortable."

"I'm a checkered-Vans girl through and through. I wore them in high school, and I'm still wearing them now. They are the perfect shoes for throwing on in a pinch, and thanks to the striking checkered print, they somehow always make me feel a tad cooler even if my outfit might say otherwise."

"I've always loved Superga's white sneakers. They're super comfortable and truly go with everything, from dresses to jeans. I've even successfully washed them in the washing machine, and they looked great afterward, so they're not high-maintenance."
