Don't Pack Away Your Jeans Yet! These 8 Denim Trends Are Being Worn By Fashion People Everywhere This Summer
From drawstring waistbands to cuffed hems, these are the summer 2025 jeans trends tastemakers are backing this season.

As someone who basically lives in jeans, I always struggle to adjust to the summer season. Surely with the rise in temperatures, I'll have to give up my beloved denim? Thankfully, its not only the temperamental British weather that ensures this isn't the case. As A-lister influencers from Kendall Jenner to Sienna Miller prove, denim gets a whole new lease of life in the summer—you just have to know which trends to go for.
This season, there's plenty to choose from. Of course, there are always the classics, and this year wide-leg silhouettes and slim cut styles have equal ranking. These are effortlessly easy to style, whether you opt for a classic tank and sandal combination, or want to get creative with colourful accessories or embroidered shirts. But this summer, there are also the more playful styles, which somehow feel more appropriate for joyous summer days. High on the list of ones to watch are the drawstring styles, with the irreverent 90s vibe, as well as skater-inspired cuffed hem designs.
Whatever your denim personality, there's sure to be a trend for you. Scroll on to discover my pick of the very best.
The Summer 2025 Jeans Trends to Have on Your Radar:
1. Drawstring
Style Notes: If skinny jeans are your idea of a sartorial nightmare, this is the style for you. Not only do they have the loose-fitting, wide-leg silhouette, they have a drawstring waist that allows you to tailor the fit to you.

2. Wide-Leg
Style Notes: The wide-leg jeans has become the essential denim silhouette for everyday wear. The baggy fit gives them an effortless coolness, but they're so versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. Plus, that loose fit comes in especially handy during the hotter months.

3. Flares
Style Notes: Trust me, chic Europeans are backing flared jeans as a must-have silhouette this summer. The bold silhouette has come a long way since it was a hallmark of '70s fashion, and designers like Chloe are backing its bohemian vibe. And let's not forget Kendrick Lamar's viral on-stage moment...

4. Slim
Style Notes: They're a classic for a reason. The slim fit jean is, in my opinion, the most versatile. Keep things sleek with a fitted t-shirt or tank, or opt for flowing, oversized tops that can be balanced with the straight-line of the jeans.

5. Long Shorts
Style Notes: Ok this isn't technically a jeans trend, but stay with me! When it's too hot for jeans, what do you opt for? Fear not, denim lovers. Long jorts are officially an essential this season, and are perfect for easy weekend wear. Throw on with Birkenstocks or trainers, a classic white t-shirt and you're set.

6. White Jeans
Style Notes: If there's one denim trend that dominates every summer, it's white jeans. Whatever silhouette you prefer, white denim is perfect for sunny days, whether you go for an all-white ensemble or use it as a backdrop for a pop of bright colour.

8. Cuffed Jeans
Style Notes: A-listers like Kendall Jenner and Margot Robbie are all backing the cuffed jeans trend this year. For summer, embrace their versatility — dress down an oversized pair with flat sandals or trainers, or dress them up with a heel and great bag.
