If you're familiar with my byline and social media accounts, you know I discuss a wide range of topics, from runway reports to travel guides. This year, however, I've been significantly ramping up my coverage of women's watches. I traveled to Geneva for the watchmaking industry's biggest event, interviewed experts about the celebrity-fueled obsession with vintage timepieces, and reported on the latest luxury launches, just to name a few examples. Armed with this experience, I'm confident in my 2026 watch trend predictions.
My newest obsession? Raindrop-shaped cases like the ones seen on the new Citizen L Rainell. Sure, you could buy another circular or rectangular watch, but the raindrop silhouette feels so much fresher and more exciting for 2026. "Rooted in over a century of horological excellence and inspired by the brand’s Tokyo design archives, Rainell captures the evolution of femininity through bold form, refined artistry, and intentional detail," Citizen explained in a press release.
