If you've succumb to the ever-enticing discounts of Black Friday sales past, you're definitely not alone. Black Friday sales can be overwhelming as you're inundated with promotions and buzzy sale language—even those of us that work in the industry aren't immune. Since I know I'm susceptible to the thrill of a sale I developed a system to safeguard myself from impulse shopping. Every year ahead of Black Friday I bookmark items I actually want so I don't end up buying things just because they're on sale. That way once the sales start I can hit checkout on those items with 100% confidence and zero buyer's remorse.
I just finished my Nordstrom wishlist where I focused on winter 2025 staples, and I figured it was worth sharing since sale season is approaching. From the cashmere Ref sweater with a well-deserved cult following to the leopard Mango coat I've been eyeing for months and the $60 slingbacks made for holiday parties, these are pieces you won't regret investing in.
