I Objectively Have Enough Shoes, But Then I Saw These On-Trend Styles From Nordstrom, Zara, and Shopbop
Here in New York, we are experiencing our first tastes of spring (hello, 60-degree days!), and that has me cleaning out my shoe closet in preparation for the season ahead. As I start to transition my wardrobe and retire those knee-high boots and chunky loafers until next winter, I made a mental checklist of all the best shoe trends for spring/summer 2024 and which ones I could fill in with what I already own. I soon realized that the new-drop sections of Nordstrom, Zara, and Shopbop have all the trend-forward styles I could imagine. Even better, the majority of these on-trend styles are under $200, so I can load up on a few pairs without serious buyer's remorse.
Pointed shoes are my go-to style this season, in both flat and heel forms, so be prepared to find plenty of elegant flats and walkable kitten heels in this mix. Texture was important on the runway, and I am incorporating it into my own wardrobe with mixed materials, such as luxurious satin finishes, lots of patent-leather shine, and a heavy dose of metallics. Fishnets and mesh styles are still trending high in my book, and there are a few stunners that I think you will go just as gaga for that feel a bit fresher than those from past seasons. Below, shop 30 on-trend styles from Nordstrom, Zara, and Shopbop that will set you up in style for the season ahead.
Sleek silver is sure to make a statement, whether worn casually with jeans or dressed up with a slit skirt.
Refresh your flats for spring in a patent navy colorway.
Something comfy yet chic is always a must. The big buckle on these adds a fashionable twist.
The red trend is still going strong, and these ballerinas scream French-girl cool.
You might be surprised how often you will reach for these all season. They're just that versatile.
A pointed-toe flat will make a day on your feet bearable without sacrificing style.
If you haven't invested in the flat trend, this Mary Jane is downright perfect.
How cool is the toe post on these heels? It's like jewelry for your shoes.
We predict the fisherman sandal is still going to be a strong contender for the season ahead. Wear yours with ribbed socks now.
Animal print is always a good idea. These should be your new go-to date-night shoes.
A white sneaker is a wardrobe no-brainer, but we like that this pair has a retro twist.
Lean into a Y2K footwear trend reboot with a buckled slingback, and style accordingly.
This nude sandal is a new way to do the mesh shoe trend. It is so easy to wear and style.
Block heels are the easiest solution to a full day of meetings. The silver colorway is a fun way to mix up your workwear separates.
Effortless style at its best. We imagine a modern Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy would wear a sandal like this.
Buckles, block heels, and bold white. A fresh spring shoe doesn't get better than this.
Cool and comfortable. The leather on these is so buttery soft.
These little sandals are actually wearable. Style them with everything from sundresses to cropped jeans.
We can't wait to wear these with wide-leg pants and a simple tank all summer long.
Can you tell we are feeling the metallics? This sandal is for a more delicate look.
If you are stocked on regular ballerinas, why not try a ballet mule for warmer spring days.
A chunkier take on the classic Arizona sandals, these will provide instant stability all day long.
Bare sandals have become modern-day wardrobe lifesavers in the footwear department.
