Found: The Perfect Fall Outfits for When It's Still Hot Outside
Though fall officially begins September 22, the weather doesn't always get the memo. Don't get us wrong—we love the warmer temps (and wish summer would last forever), but it can certainly make getting dressed for a new season a bit more of a challenge. That's why we decided to find easy fall outfit formulas to copy that all have that classic autumnal feel—think warmer colors, cool layering, etc.—but are still lightweight enough to wear when you're dealing with a hot October day.
Some pieces you should certainly keep in your wardrobe rotation when transitioning from summer to fall? A chic silk skirt (style with a tee on a warmer fall day or with a sweater when it's cooler); anything plaid or checked, whether that's a skirt or a dress; a fun button-down; classic jeans; and last but not least, a jumpsuit. These fashion items work for hot days as well as chillier ones—just throw on some layering pieces, like a leather jacket or a wool cardigan, when the temperatures drop. Read on to see the best looks to copy on a hot fall day.
