5 Brands That Will Reinvent Your Fall Wardrobe

Meet Lisa Aiken, fashion director of Moda Operandi and one of our personal style icons here at Who What Wear. Lisa is championed within the industry for setting trends and spotting new designers like it's no one's business. No really—if there's a cool new brand or rising trend, she's not only already wearing it but has edited it into Moda Operandi's shopping selection for all to enjoy. Since we're always looking to Lisa for our next shopping move, we're thrilled she's agreed to join us as a columnist on the site, serving the latest and greatest when it comes to trends, style, and shopping. Today, it is with great honor and excitement that we welcome her as she discusses the brands to shop for a fresh fall wardrobe.
Some tried and true, some new, these are the names that will shape your everyday wardrobe this fall. From new updates on the classic blazer to hero outerwear, let this wave of designers guide you through the season.
Totême
The Scandi brand, founded by Elin Kling five years ago, quickly emerged as a go-to for elevated uniform dressing from the outset. It’s known for having the statement jacket of the season that ends up everywhere on social media. Right now, it’s the cream puffer. It also has the best-cut pants (cue the denim), but its leggings are the current cult favorite for $195 that we can hardly keep in stock.
Shop the brand:
Vince
We have the most amazing edit and curation of the fall collection on Moda. It’s tonal and chic with beautiful tailoring and knitwear. The pieces work well both when worn all together and as separates.
Shop the brand:
Joseph
Joseph has long been every Brit girl’s go-to, but here in the U.S., the brand is a little more under-the-radar. Invest in the outerwear (my first-ever designer coat was Joseph) and its coordinating separates, whether it’s a blouse-and-skirt set or knitwear.
Shop the brand:
Nanushka
Nanushka rose to fame with the vegan-leather puffer jacket, but there is so much more to the brand. While its outerwear is amazing (the office favorite currently is the plaid brown), its new hero we’re looking to is the single-breasted leather blazer. It has the sturdiness of a biker jacket, but it’s now the thing that will complete any outfit.
Shop the brand:
Loulou Studio
Influencer Chloé Harrouche, also known as @louloudesaison on Instagram, is known for wearing pretty major fashion pieces, but the collection she’s built is more around the everyday pieces, and she’s done it really well. When you talk to her, you really appreciate how much time and consideration goes into the things she makes. You’ll never pull on a sweater of hers and get static hair.
Shop the brand:
