Fall Is Here, and These Are the Celebrity Outfit Ideas All Over My Mood Board

Fall weather may be moving in a little slower than usual, but it doesn't hurt to start planning early. Because once it comes, you'll be happy to already have a set of outfits ready to be worn (and complimented.) While my moldboard is filled with old runway photos ('90s Prada to be exact), there are also a ton of celebrity outfits that have been added to the mix of inspiration. Considering that most of them work with some of the best stylists in the industry, it only makes sense to take notes on what they're wearing.

I went through the Instagrams of some of the best-dressed celebs and pulled all the looks that are really speaking to me for fall 2023. Whether it consists of the basics or offers more of a statement look, you'll be inspired by the outfits below. Keep scrolling to consider what works for your fall mood board too.

Cargo skirts don't have to only be for casual looks, Elsa Hosk proves that with the right pairings (a wool cardigan and an oversize blazer) the piece can look elevated for fall.

Sometimes, the most simple outfits are the best. We all have a white T-shirt and jeans in our closet, and an oversized leather bomber jacket will just tie the whole look together.

When in doubt, a suit vest and pants will make an easy yet polished outfit just perfect for the office. Take notes from Rosie Huntington-Whitely and add a cool belt to make the outfit stand out.

Wearing leather is obvious for fall, but distressed leather is "it" for fall, thanks to brands like Miu Miu and Acne Studios.

Brands like The Row are proof that with the right base pieces in your closet, you'll always have an easy outfit to put together in the morning rush. All you'll need to re-create Kendall Jenner's look is a white button-down, wide-leg jeans, black boots, and a spacious bag.

Yusra Siddiqui is an editor who resides in New Jersey but bounces between the suburbs and NYC. (She's a Jersey girl at heart.) After interning at Who What Wear in 2019, she found her way to the team after graduating from LIM College in 2022 with a fashion media degree. She's also spent time writing and working for publications such as Fashionista, Coveteur, and Nylon, but she always knew that Who What Wear was where she was meant to be. When she's on the job, she's perusing runway shows, analyzing the latest thing fellow Gen Zers are up to on the internet, and sharing what she can about the modest-fashion market. You can also catch her dabbling in entertainment, talking about the costume choices of the latest Netflix series or diving deeper into how the plotline affects the viewers in a myriad of ways. Lastly, she likes to create content for Who What Wear's TikTok. Her personal time is spent doing similar but also different things—deep diving into almost every new TV show (Bridgerton, Gilmore Girls, and Stranger Things are favorites), planning her next local getaway (whenever that may be), and reading the latest Emily Henry or Sally Rooney novel in one sitting.
