5 Easy New Staples Everyone From My Mom to My Fashion Friends Will Like
When I'm shopping for myself or sourcing products to recommend to others, there's a criterion I always keep in the back of my mind: new items that have the power to become fresh staples in a wardrobe. Sure, this includes top-notch basics, but it also includes those trend-forward, simpler items that can easily be mixed and matched.
There are actually a few key new staples that I'm particularly into at the moment. The pieces I'm referring to are all pretty easy to style and could be worn with multiple outfits. They also have that trendy quality to them. I actually think many in my life would be into the items because of how versatile they are. Yep, I bet everyone from my fashion friends to even my mom will like the edit coming your way.

Vests
Knit vests are continuing to trend hard as a next-level basic, as are waistcoats for summer. My mom actually mentioned that she's intrigued by this trend (especially layered over a T-shirt) for something different that's still easy.
Oversize Shirts
Oversize shirting continues to reign supreme in classic white or in colorful iterations like this pick. That ideal find could easily become a staple mixed and matched with everything from jeans to bike shorts to skirts.
Cutout Dresses
In the dress realm, those midi silhouettes with cutout details are very modern and of the moment. A style like this could easily be dressed up or down.
Relaxed Jeans
You just can't go wrong with relaxed jeans this season. Fashion people are all about this style, and my mom may actually swap some of her skinny jeans for this cut.
Lightweight Blazers
A slouchy blazer in a lightweight fabric could totally become a go-to for adding polish and sophistication to any look. Toss one over a tee or a blouse.
