9 Classic Basics You Don't Need to Spend More Than $100 On

Blazer Street Style

Szymon Brzóska/The Style Stalker

With the first official day of spring just nine(!) days(!) away(!), it’s time we all get serious about our warm-weather wardrobes. Of course, that can mean different things to different people. Some might need a serious trend overhaul, while others might have that covered but need to re-up on their basics. The latter, of course, is what I seek to help with today.

In honor of the second-best season’s impending arrival (because we all know the top spot goes to fall), I’ve taken the liberty of scouring the internet for the best versions of nine essential basics, all for no more than $100. From trenches and blazers to jeans, tees, and trousers, these are the pieces no wardrobe—whether trendy, classic, or in between—is complete without. To see and shop my picks from all our favorite affordable sites including Topshop, Nordstrom, Revolve, and H&M, just keep scrolling.

Everyone needs a good, black, oversize blazer.

You'll never want to get rid of this classic style.

According to Nordstrom reviews, this is a must-buy.

Levi's' ultra-high Ribcage style has quickly become an editor favorite.

We'll always have a place in our hearts for Urban Outfitters' jeans.

Covered buttons are a little detail that makes a big difference.

Style with black jeans and you're off.

Wear these with anything from ankle boots to sneakers.

Don't be afraid to mix these white pants with darker neutrals and prints.

Everyday Sandals

You'll live in these come summer.

You know what else is classic? Animal print.

The beginnings of your next all-beige look.

For those days you just don't feel like wearing black or white.

Fitted tees are ideal for tucking in.

Topshop has mastered this basic on a budget.

A fun departure from all the simpler beige options.
