There Are 540 White Tank Tops on Nordstrom, But I Chose These 3

It's 82°, and I've finally started dressing for the warmer weather this week. One thing I've realized is that I'm in desperate need of some new white tank tops. Unfortunately, many of my go-tos have seen better days—they are either stained or have shrunk thanks to way too many tumble dries or have lost their shape or are way too see-through for my liking.

What holds true is that white tank tops are one of those versatile summer staples I wear practically every day during the warm-weather months, and I always like to have a variety of styles on hand. But since they do get so much wear, I need to upgrade them more often than any other item in my closet.

On a mission to add some fresh white tank tops to my wardrobe before summer really gets underway, I made a beeline to Nordstrom's site to find some of the most highly rated tank tops to try this season. After scrolling through a considerable number—540 to be exact—I whittled it down to these three styles below. I chose these based on reviews and price points as well as how they looked and felt when I tried them on at home.

Keep scrolling to see my favorite three styles from Nordstrom and shop the others that made it into my top 26 list.

1. Topshop U-Neck Tank

Nordstrom Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (185 reviews)

Wearing: Size 2

Since many of my white tank tops are fitted, I've been looking for one with a slightly looser silhouette. Topshop's U-Neck Tank is the perfect relaxed fit. It's lightweight, soft, and comfortable. Plus, the dipped neckline is very flattering. It's not overly long and can still be tucked into high-waisted jeans easily without feeling too bulky. The fabric is slightly thinner than the other two tank tops, but it's not see-through, and the price is great, especially for the quality you get with this tank. I found this pretty true to size, but I would recommend sizing down if you're between sizes.

2. Caslon Cotton Tank

Nordstrom Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars (218 reviews)

Wearing: Size XS

This was my first time buying something from Nordstrom Made brand Caslon, and honestly, I was very impressed. I purchased this 100% cotton tank predominantly because of the rave reviews it gets online. Customers praise it for its quality, excellent fit, comfort, nice weight, and shape. And I have to say I agree. I took the advice of reviewers online and sized down to an XS, and it fit perfectly. The fabric is not too thick and not too thin, and it is nicely fitted. It looks great with everything from midi skirts to jeans. This does have a longer silhouette, so if you're looking for something slightly more cropped, then go for the BP tank top below instead.

3. BP Ribbed Crewneck Tank

Nordstrom Rating: 4 out of 5 stars (126 reviews)

Wearing: Size S

I love a white tank with a high neckline, and I've featured this particular one in so many stories. So I figured it was time to finally buy it. While it's not extremely cropped, it does have a shorter length compared to the other two tanks, which makes it ideal for tucking into anything high waisted. It has a subtle ribbed knit and is very comfortable. The silhouette feels fresh and can easily be dressed up with the right accessories. Be sure to get a good strapless bra. You can't do better for the price.
