When I’m not at my computer writing about fashion, there's a good chance I'm breaking a sweat somewhere. Whether I'm out on a run or flexing in yoga class, I consider fitness an important part of my weekly routine. As a result, I’ve had the chance to road test (or sweat test, maybe?) lots of different leggings—it's my job after all. Some, like Nike, are great technical styles for a long run, whereas brands like Outdoor Voices are a favorite for when I’m headed to yoga. But it may surprise you to find that one of my favorite pairs of leggings costs just $30 and comes from Old Navy. Technical apparel can oftentimes be pricey, but Old Navy’s activewear isn’t just super affordable, it holds up during tough workouts too.
So what’s their secret? According to Lauren Guthrie, Old Navy Active's senior director and general manager, "We obsess [over] fit! We offer a range of rise and length options to ensure that our product is figure flattering and comfortable for all day." Guthrie also notes the brand works to ensure the leggings can stand up to washing, so they don't get loose or start to fall apart over time. Now that a new year is almost upon us, there's no better time to get a jump start on your fitness routine; just grab a pair of leggings and you're good to go.
