FYI, Your Favorite Skiwear Brand Makes Seriously Cute Activewear Too
If you've spent any time in a ski town recently, you're most likely familiar with, if not a huge fan of, Halfdays. I can spot the brand's monochromatic, candy-colored ski outfits on the mountain from a mile away (okay fine, from the gondola). What you may not know is that the brand doesn't just make fashionable skiwear, but really cute activewear too. Its motto, "owning the mountain," applies year-round, so it's only fitting that its performance-driven designs were created for hikes and trail runs—but that doesn't mean they're not equally suitable for hot yoga or Pilates.
As someone who loves both outdoor activities and trendy fitness studios, I was very excited to put the fall collection to the test. I recently had the opportunity to do so during a weekend in upstate New York hosted by the Halfdays, where we did, in fact, go on a hike. If you're looking to make some room in your activewear drawer this fall, here's everything I tried on and loved.
I will always make room for a new pair of black leggings in my wardrobe. There's no such thing as having too many, and I stand by that. This pair has pockets that are nearly invisible, so you can head out for a jog sans bag. I styled them with the brand's baby tee and new puffer vest (it's super lightweight). And if you were wondering: yes, Meredith Blake was my inspo.
My favorite fall color combo is chocolate brown and powder blue, so I'll be working it into my activewear looks. I love a flared legging, so this ribbed pair was a no-brainer, especially when paired with the fitted quarter-zip top and super soft fleece. And I was very pleased with myself when I remembered I owned brown-and-blue sneakers too. I can't wait to wear this combo on chilly fall mornings.
This look feels very true to the Halfdays brand, mimicking the vibe of its ski sets. I love a good track pant, especially those with a zipper, and the fact that you can pair it with the matching puffer jacket (which is packable, by the way!) is a wonderful bonus. They're great as separates, but together, this red outfit is such a vibe.
