Nordstrom is known as the ultimate shopping destination for many things, but lingerie is by far one of the retailer's most trusted categories. Stocking some of the most well-respected brands in the industry, including Natori and Wacoal, Nordstrom's assortment of everything from bras to chemises is nothing short of exemplary. While shopping for the more "basic" pieces like bras and seamless thongs is a given at Nordstrom, today we want to draw attention to the trendier lingerie pieces that will round out your negligee drawer for the season ahead.

After carefully sifting through each lingerie category on the site, we were able to identify six lingerie styles that are officially trending at the retailer. Yes, the styles ahead are certainly a bit more unconventional compared to your average undergarment selection, and to be honest, that's exactly what attracts us to each one. From sultry strapping to satin underwear, the six lingerie trends ahead will put a smile on your face each time you turn to pick out your undergarments.

Sultry Strapping

If you're one to let your bra straps poke out from underneath your tank tops, why not opt for a set of straps that will make more of a statement than usual? Nordstrom's assortment of bras includes many varieties of styles, but this sultry strapping moment is one that we think will make all the difference in your negligee drawer.

Satin Underwear

Need some new underwear? Well, Nordstrom is clearly encouraging the fancier of briefs and thongs by stocking stunning satin pairs that will have you feeling equal parts comfortable and confident.

Statement Bralettes

Bralettes are the lingerie trend that is officially no longer a "trend" but instead a must-have staple in any woman's lingerie assortment. However, at this moment in time, we're seeing Nordstrom buy into styles that are bit more statement-making than your average black lace bralette, and we are very much here for it.

Gromet Detailing

This lingerie trend is proof your everyday underwear doesn't have to be boring or basic. Step a little outside of your comfort zone and try out a pair of these gromet-adorned styles. The contrast of the grommet against the delicate lace is just the thing your underwear assortment might be missing—something exciting and fresh.

Victorian-Inspired

When you think of clothing from the Victorian period, you think of strong corsets, ornate jacquard fabrics, lace, ruffles, bows, and more. Translate all of the noteworthy detailing associated with the fashion from that time to solely lingerie and you'll get the pieces below.

Cute Cutouts

Currently at Nordstrom, when it comes to bras, the more detailing the better. Beyond the sultry strapping trend we noted earlier on, cutouts are also bubbling as a bra style to add to cart.
