I might be a fashion editor, but the last thing I'd ever do is pressure you to shop. I believe that every purchase—be it £10 or £1000—needs to be considered wisely. Will I wear it enough? Will it go with my existing wardrobe? Will it still be relevant six months from now? These are just some of the questions I ask myself whenever I have the urge or need to buy something new. And I can honestly say that I can answer "yes" to the below pieces from H&M.

H&M is always the first place I head to when I'm in need of affordable basics or pieces to pep up my clothing rotation. I didn't purchase much earlier in 2023, as I was in the midst of moving house, but now that I'm settled into my new home and no longer have to spend my disposable income on moving boxes, I thought I should treat myself. I deserve it, right? So onto H&M's new-arrivals page I went, and wow, I was impressed. From classy wide-leg trousers to blazers so sleek they looks as if they costs three times as much, I was taken aback by the sheer number of elevated items there were.
