There are countless things to love about fall—pumpkin spice lattes, stomping in brown crunchy leaves, the taste of warm apple pie, and for the fashion lovers among us, the excitement of a new-season wardrobe. And while fall may not officially begin until September 22, it’s safe to say I’m already itching to get a hold of the new-season pieces that will get me in the autumnal spirit.

Luckily, this season’s offerings do not disappoint. There are plenty of big and bold trends that scream Instagram-me-ASAP—from flashy metallics to ’80s silhouettes, as well as subtler styles that are easy enough to integrate into your outfits like slouchy boots and crystal hair clips. I’ve rounded up the trends that have me particularly inspired for the season ahead that are actually wearable for work, the weekend, and beyond. Scroll below for the pieces to get you ready for the most sartorially exciting time of the year.

Logo Bags

Logo is a go-go this fall! From tights to bags and everything in between, designers’ logos were front and center on the F/W 18 runways. The iconic Dior Saddle Bag (pictured) has been particularly popular among the fashion set, resurrecting to fame again since those Carrie Bradshaw days of the ’90s. If you are going to invest in a luxury piece this season, make it a logo bag. (Check out The Real Real and Tradesy for logo bags on consignment.)

Statement Earrings

Go big or go home, yelled the fall runways with the plethora of glistening and uniquely shaped earrings that sashayed down the runways. Opt for a single statement earring, artsy mismatched danglers, or my personal favorite—glitzy chandelier earrings worn with a casual tee and jeans.

Fuchsia

If you want to give the browns, grays, and darker hues of autumn a break, reach for the color that was seen all over the fall runways and fashion week—fuchsia pink. Fashion girls can’t seem to get enough. Don’t want to wear the hue from head-to-toe? Opt for a blouse, skirt, or shoes paired with neutrals.

Animal Print

If you haven’t already noticed (from your wild Insta feed), animal print is huge right now and continues to be a major trend for fall. Whether its leopard print, faux snakeskin, or a zebra print, take on the trend in the form of slip dresses, midi skirts, pants, and plenty of accessories.

Plaid

From preppy plaid suiting to tartan blouses and checked skirts, the heritage print is giving leopard print a run for its money. Try the punky pattern in a plethora of colors and styles.

Hands-Free Bags

There’s nothing more carefree and relaxed than a hands-free bag—think belt bags, neck bags, and short crossbody bags. The trend continues its momentum through fall, so it’s time to invest in the cool-girl accessory now.
