I Go to the Gym Every Morning—These Athleisure Outfits Get Me There in Style

Good news: Hibernation season has finally arrived. If your holidays were anything like mine, I'm sure you're equally exhausted and ready to get some rest. I've been waiting for this quiet period and am so excited to get back into my routine and recharge my batteries. I'm already planning for weekends that will begin with trips to the gym followed by days spent lounging at home and maybe meeting my friends for a casual dinner. This is where my athleisure outfits come into play.

I have been stockpiling matching activewear sets that pair well with my collection of jackets, hoodies, puffers, and more for the sole purpose of perfecting the athleisure aesthetic that I desire. I have quite a few outfit ideas that I lean on, no matter what the weather is serving, that I've been meaning to share with you. Call in that effortless shacket or bright hoodie that hasn't been getting the amount of use that it deserves. Using these outfit formulas, you'll walk away from this read with a new way to style what you already have and a few pieces worth adding to your cart.

If you're already wearing a matching set, why not top it off with a plaid shacket that makes for the perfect match. This seasonless outer layer will take your athleisure wardrobe very far.

I often end up grabbing a coffee or walking with a friend after a trip to the gym, and on the streets of West Village, we dress to impress. No matter where you are, a classic trench coat will always prepare your activewear set for your next appointment.

Dressing like a marshmallow is sometimes a must this time of year. Pile on the layers for wherever your errands take you, and still look chic by choosing the right color scheme for your journey.

Let's not leave windbreakers in the '90s. They're the perfect lightweight finishing touch that you can take with you when rushing to a workout class or on a run.

You already know that unexpected color combinations have my heart. When used as a mechanism to dress up a classic sweat set, they pack an even more powerful punch.

I'm going to go ahead and call this the 2022 uniform. I can't imagine an easier outfit to run around in.

Sometimes, it feels too revealing for me to walk around after a workout in just my sports bra and shorts, so bringing a white button-down shirt along with me is always a good idea.

When I want my activewear set to do all the talking, I look for a statement print. I think anything inspired by one of my favorite animals will work.

Sierra Mayhew was always destined to work in fashion, but she didn't know it at first. Growing up with no choice but to wear a rotation of school uniforms and activewear, her love for fashion really blossomed when she moved away for college and was able to finally define her very own personal style. Shortly thereafter, she interned at Elle magazine and instantly knew that editorial was for her. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, she worked for ShopBazaar, contributing regularly to Bazaar.com, and finally made her way to Who What Wear, where she is an associate editor. When she’s not working, you can catch her always trying to catch a flight, trying the latest fitness craze in New York City, or exploring luxury vintage boutiques.
