I'm Quarantining With My Boyfriend—Here Are 5 Date-Night Outfits I'm Wearing
Since the beginning of the stay-at-home order, there's been a lot of talk and joking about spiking divorce rates when all of this comes to an end. Whether divorce attorneys should ready their pens, only time will tell. I'm not married, but my boyfriend and I decided to quarantine together in his decently sized (by L.A. standards) two-bedroom apartment. In an effort to keep the pulse of our relationship alive as the days drudge on in unrelenting monotony (and remind each other what we look like outside of pajamas and workout clothes), we've committed to making weekly date nights a thing.
The best part of putting on real clothes during quarantine? The way my boyfriend looks at me. I tend to think about my style as just my personal self-expression, but I'd be lying if I didn't appreciate the occasional compliment. Curious to see what I'm wearing? I've shopped five of my at-home date-night looks below. Since we have a no-shoes policy in our home, I let myself dream big for these outfits, but trust me—they look just as cute barefoot (or even with house slippers).
Midi Dress + Heeled Sandals + Lots of Jewelry
A timeless romantic look. There's nothing quite like slipping into a satin midi dress and heeled sandals. I like to dress up the simplicity with jewelry that will shine in all the right places. Clipping back your hair or pulling it back in a headscarf like this is also a nice idea if you want to show off your neckline.
Leather Miniskirt + Sweater + Heels
A leather miniskirt is the perfect element for any date-night outfit. Dress it down with a sweatshirt, soften the edge with a ribbed cardigan, or lean into the edgy vibe with a cropped halter. No matter what, make sure to show off your legs with a pair of slides.
Turtleneck Tank + High-Waisted Jeans + Heels
There's something sophisticated about tucking a turtleneck into high-waisted jeans. Because we're approaching summer, I love pairing straight-leg jeans with a turtleneck tank and strappy heels. It's impossible to go wrong with this simple look.
Sweater + Satin Miniskirt + Sneakers
Satin is synonymous with date nights, right? Style a satin miniskirt with a short-sleeve sweater and white sneakers for a look that feels playful and cute. This look just makes me want to go for a long walk with my boyfriend while the sun sets.
Puff-Sleeve Top + Shorts + Flat Sandals
Puffy sleeves may be a hot trend this year, but they make an outfit feel effortlessly romantic. Embrace their whimsicality and style a puff-sleeve top with colorful shorts and sandals.

Aralyn Beaumont joined Who What Wear as the copy editor for branded content after a career in food media. Years of poring over intricate recipes with a fine-tooth comb and working with high-profile chefs has prepared her well for working with fashion's top brands while honoring Who What Wear's voice. Her background as a research editor makes her a finicky editor who will probably care too much about making sure all copy is as factually accurate and aligned with the house style guide as can be. Maybe it's because she's a Gemini, but her personal style is impossible to pin down: One day you'll see her in a turtleneck sweater tucked into a midi skirt with heeled boots, and the next, she'll be wearing mom jeans, a white Hanes tee, and classic Vans. At the end of the day, her style reflects her various moods. Sometimes it will be feminine and elegant, and others it will be grungy or androgynous. Certain things will always remain constant, though. She'll forever be on the hunt for the perfect pair of high-waisted jeans.
