When it comes to autumn/winter dressing, there are three high-street brands, in particular, that always excel during this season. Unsurprisingly, given cold-weather dressing is a Scandi area of expertise, they all are part of the H&M group. Arket, COS and & Other Stories have strong autumn collections this year, and I've been impressed by everything from the knitwear to the coats to the boots. They are all go-to's for bread-and-butter winter staples, such as classic leather Chelsea boots, blazers and belted coats. 

These brands will reference and nod to trends, but only with subtle detailing, ensuring that nothing will date quickly. This autumn, the trends they are tapping into include quilting, leather separates, chunky boots, knitted vests and fringe detailing. Of course, they have the classic autumn pieces covered too, with beautiful belted coats, leather blazers and soft rollneck knits. Keep scrolling to see the 30 items that I love this month.
